Most of my carvings are roughed out with a chainsaw, then refined with chisels and rotary tools. I finish up with oil or acrylic paint, and then three or more coats of varnish.

Local orders for custom portraits are available in watercolour, coloured pencil, pastel, or mixed media. Default surface is a round basswood plaque with a keyhole slot in the back for easy hanging. Other surfaces are also available, such as special heavyweight papers, cedar slabs, and canvas.

All my wooden hair clips are handcrafted from locally-sourced upcycled wood. Offcuts from log homes, woodcarvings, and even some longbows have contributed wood material to my barrette clips. The metal clips are both glued and screwed to the back of the barrette for strength and durability.
